Introducing NZ Truffle Day – 5 July 2026

We’re delighted to announce the inaugural NZ Truffle Day, taking place on Saturday, 5 July.

This special day marks a celebration of New Zealand’s growing truffle industry — from the dedication of our growers and dog handlers, to the chefs and enthusiasts who bring these remarkable fungi to life on the plate.

From 2026 onwards, NZ Truffle Day will be held annually on the first Saturday of July, right in the heart of the New Zealand truffle season.

This timing offers the perfect opportunity to showcase the quality, flavour, and potential of locally grown truffles, while connecting our community and raising awareness of this unique and developing industry.

We see NZ Truffle Day becoming a focal point for:

  • Celebrating the season’s harvest
  • Sharing knowledge and experience
  • Engaging with the wider public and food industry
  • Promoting New Zealand truffles both locally and internationally

More information will be released soon, including ways to get involved, events, and opportunities to celebrate across the country.

For now, mark the date in your calendar — and get ready to celebrate all things truffle.
