Monday 25th March at 19:30, Ohiwa Black Diamonds will have their story aired about their truffle journey on Whakaata Māori on Māori TV.

Ben Bayly, A NZ Food Story, visited Rod and Mirani at their Black Quail Estate in Otago.  Have a sneak peek of their truffiere, and their truffle dog working to locate lots of Tuber melanosporum. Those attending the conference this year will visit this wonderful part of the Otago, and meet Rod and Mirani and their wonderful truffle dog.

This weekend, a retired couple took a punt growing truffles on their Te Puke block, and are now busy producing, selling and showcasing their nuggets of black gold! This episode is available to view on TVNZ OnDemand – Hyundai Country Calendar – Season 2022, Episode 30.
